Hoy, a Tribune Company newspaper, is one of the largest Spanish only papers in circulation in the United States. Although Hoy's readers are Internet savvy, it's web counterpart, holahoy.com, was offering a sub-par web experience.
The task was to redesign holahoy.com from a dated, news only website into HoyInternet.com, a modern, news and entertainment based, vibrant online experience.
Mythology Media designed the new logo and fresh look, developed an intuitive icon and tab-style navigation system, and simplified the back-end architecture. The result was a modular design with interchangeable parts, allowing content producers to work more efficiently. By upgrading the website to adhere to the newest web-standards, the load time decreased by nearly 50% due to streamlined architecture.
HoyInternet.com has a goal to become the strongest Spanish-only newspaper online counterpart in the country. Specifically, the company hopes to increase monthly web traffic by 500% within one year.
